Summer Youth BreakfastsDuring the month of June, we will be doing breakfasts on Thursday mornings. We are in need of servants who would be willing to host a breakfast at their house at 9:00 AM one Thursday (you don’t have to be a youth parent to be involved!).
During this time we will eat, enjoy fellowship, and hear a devotion from one of our students. Afterward we will serve in a local mission setting or participate in other activities such as going to the park or Fun Expedition. |
Young at Heart Join the Young at Heart for lunch at Mediterranean Garden in Johnson City
on Thursday, June 28. Bus will leave the Pine Street parking lot at 12:30 p.m. Call the church office to make your reservation! |

Extra! Extra!
First Church is going green and you can help! The Communications Pillar asks all who have internet access to use the church webpage as their preferred method to receive the monthly newsletter. The church’s web address is: www.1stchurchjc.org
To continue receiving a printed copy of the newsletter, you must “opt in” by either calling the church office at 423-928-9222, ext. 1, emailing Kathy Tidwell (kathy.fumc@charter.net), or completing the form on the tear-off portion of your bulletin and dropping it in the offering plate. (You can email Kathy through the above link to opt-in for continued postal mail delivery of newsletter.) Otherwise, the newsletter will be on the webpage for viewing. All those who are currently homebound or in nursing homes will continue to receive printed newsletters by mail without having to contact the office.
By May, we hope to greatly reduce the number of newsletter being delivered by mail. There will be printed copies of the current newsletter available in the church office and the Narthex each month. With your help we can continue to use our church resources wisely and help keep the earth green.
