John has been on staff at First UMC for over two years. His passion is for junior, middle and high school students to discover and live into the reality of Jesus’ Great Commandment (Love God, Love People) and Great Commision (Go and make disciples). John is married to Kristy, with whom he gets to enjoy the blessings of parenthood of their 1-year-old son.

November 20, 27, December 4 Sex, Temptation, and the Image of God It’s almost everyone’s worst nightmare: the dreaded sex talk! Understanding that we are created in the image of God and how that pertains to the way we view ourselves is important to the way we view our bodies and behave in social and romantic situations, we will discuss how we were created in the image of God, the sacredness of our bodies, and the importance of abstinence. Wednesday Night Bible Study Topics Journey Through the Gospel of Matthew Through the 2011 Fall Semester, we are making our way through the entire Gospel of Matthew, using games and creativity to better understand who Jesus is, what he taught, and why he came. |
