The 1stChurch Scout troop is the oldest continuing scout troop in Johnson City.
Scoutmaster Bill Donaldson and numerous other volunteers coordinate weekly meetings, camping trips, summer camp, and help boys interested in scouting to progress from rank to rank. Troop 36 has a long list of young men who have achieved the highest rank scouting offers: Eagle Scout.
