2023 HANDS-ON MISSION PROJECT
HOLSTON CONFERENCE
The Three Rivers District (that's us!) has been asked once again to help with the Holston Conference 2023 Hands-On Mission Project. More details will be coming soon.
Here is the information from 2022 to give you an idea of what might be upcoming.
Each district in the conference has a specific hands-on project. These various kits will benefit efforts in Liberia or Zimbabwe
The Three Rivers District project is a School Supply Back Pack Kit. This is NOT an UMCOR Kit. It is a project specifically put together to fit in with the Conference Wide emphasis.
Click on the button for an attached pdf file brochure describing the Hands-On Mission Project for the entire conference. This year the list is just a little different. (No sidewalk chalk this year - only white chalk for chalkboards as noted on the list.).
Each church in our district is asked to have members purchase the supplies and assemble the backpack "kits". Each backpack kit also needs a $5.00 donation to help with packing and shipping costs. The five dollar per pack fee should NOT be placed in the back. The church will write one check for the total of all the kits from each individual church. So you will need to give the five dollars to the church.
Here is a list of the items to be purchased and placed in each backpack. Again the goal is 400 backpacks. 1stChurch has been a strong supporter of this Conference initiative in years past. Let's get some school backpacks put together for the children in Liberia!
