The purpose of the stewardship primarily is to educate the congregation about the budget and then develop a program to encourage church membership and friends to make pledges to fund the upcoming year's budget. Stewardship also emphasizes that in addition to financial gifts, church members are encourage to be good stewards in terms of presence, service, witness, and prayers.
