This year’s Hand-On Mission project for the Johnson City District is “Food Buckets for Liberia.” The district goal is 250 buckets. To do our part to help, FUMC has set a goal of 40 buckets. Sunday School classes will be assisting with this project. If you are not a member of a Sunday School class, or would like to do a bucket of your own, a few buckets will be available in the sanctuary for you to fill. The list of items for each bucket are as follows: *1 (5lb) bag of sugar *1 (9oz or less) box of powdered milk *1 (2lb) bag of rice *1 (18 oz) box of oatmeal *1 (2lb) bag of dried beans *1 (48 oz or less) bottle of cooking oil *2 cans meat: ham, spam, or tuna Pack all items in a NEW 5-gallon bucket with lid. It is important that you follow this list in terms of items and amounts. Please have your filled bucket ready and returned by Friday, May 31.
