High School Grads:

Elizabeth Jayne Bailey

Elizabeth Jayne (EJ) Bailey will graduate from Science Hill High School.  She will be attending Georgia Gwinnett College this fall. EJ has been a lifelong member of FUMC.
Martha Campbell 

Martha will graduate from Science Hill High School. At Scence Hill Martha was active in the Volleyball Program for 4 years as well as Young Life and the Emmaus Chrysalis Community. She has been a lifelong member at FUMC and has participated in the children and youth programs. She has enjoyed each mission trip and looks forward to the June 2015 St. Louis trip. In July she will participate in the District mission trip to the Czech Republic.
Martha will attend East Tennessee State Univeristy in the fall and appreciates all the support and love FUMC has given her.
John Huffman

John Franklin Huffman will graduate from Science Hill High School on May 23, 2015.  He plans to attend UT-Knoxville and major in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business Analytics.  He is an avid soccer player and his team was Regular Season  and District Champions.   John is a member of Beta Club and has enjoyed volunteering at the Melting Pot. 

When not playing soccer, John enjoys snow skiing and water skiing, among lots of other outdoor activities.
Morgan Jenkins  


Morgan graduates from Science Hill High School. She is a member of First United Methodist Church and is active in the youth group. More information soon.
Kathryn Kleven 


Kathryn will graduate on May 23rd. Kathryn was active in the band program at Science Hill. She was drum major for 2 years. She will be attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville in the fall. She will be majoring in animal science and minoring in psychology. She has been accepted to a member of the Pride of the Southland Band. She intends to pursue a veterinary degree and be able to train service animals for those who are mentally impaired.

College and Post Graduate Degrees:

Ben Campbell

Ben graduated from Austin Peay State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Education (K-6).  Ben was the Punter on the Austin Peay Football team for 4 years.  At graduation he was recognized as a Scholar Athlete. He would like to teach elementary education and coach high school football in the Clarksville area.   Ben appreciates all the prayers and love FUMC has shown him.

Sam Hopson

Samuel Hopson graduated from ETSU with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  He made the Dean's List this semester.  Sam will be attending Candler School of Theology in Atlanta in the fall. He has secured a job there for this summer and has already made his residence in Atlanta.  His mailing address is 1690 Lenox Road, Atlanta, GA 30306

Nathan Kapoor

Nathan graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master's Degree in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology. He remained active in the music department and is a member of the jazz band at the university. Imn the summer of 2014, Nathan married a lovely young lady he met at the Wesley Foundation while at Tennessee Tech. His wife, Amber, now also attends OU in the engineering department.  He plans to continue at OU to complete Ph.D program in his field.

Dr. S Katherine Nelson,  University of California, Riverside

Katie graduated with a Ph.D and is also engaged to be married next summer. Her very proud mom, Rev. Jane Taylor is our pastor.

Chuck Short


Chuck graduated Magna Cum Laude this semester from East Tennessee State University with a degree in business management/technical engineering.

Padra Turner


Padra graduated from Milligan College with a BS degree. She is currently working at the Early Learning Center as well as the nursery at 1stChurch. Congratulations Padra! We are proud of you.
